Jim Reinhardt

James N. Reinhardt is the president of Architectural Diagnostics, Ltd. He has been active in construction defect investigation since the early ‘80's and focused on problems relating to building codes and construction standards, EIFS problems, CC&R disputes and roof problems.

Mr. Reinhardt taught Construction Methods and Materials at the University of Hawaii College of Architecture for 12 years. He has written extensively about waterproofing, materials deterioration and termite protection and has appeared as a faculty member of many continuing education seminars.

Mr. Reinhardt received a BA from Dartmouth College and a B. Arch from the University of Washington. Mr. Reinhardt is licensed in Hawaii, Washington and Colorado.

Mr. Reinhardt is a member of the American Institute of Architects, where he was its Hawaii president in 1980, the Construction Specifications Institute, the International Code Council and the American Society for Testing Materials, and the Rotary Club of Metropolitan Honolulu.

Phil Haisley

Phil Haisley is vice-president of Architectural Diagnostics, Ltd. He has worked extensively in roofing, waterproofing, and concrete spall repair projects. His is area of specialization is investigating and resolving water damage and mold growth problems.

Phil has enjoyed taking things apart and putting them back together to see how they work and to repair them since childhood. He studied science and engineering at West Point NY before shifting his attention to art and receiving a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Colorado, Boulder. He later combined his art and engineering training into an interest in architecture, and earned his Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Hawaii School of Architecture. His interest in analytical problem solving led to specializing in forensic investigation of building failures and repair. He returned to the University of Hawaii to earn his Architecture Doctorate degree, with his thesis on investigation procedures for mold damaged buildings. Phil is licensed in Hawaii.

He is a member of the American Institute of Architects, the Construction Specifications Institute, the American Industrial Hygiene Association, and the American Conference of Governmental Industrial Hygienists, among others.

Dr. Haisley specializes in the following areas:
